I Hate Mondays

Lucia went to work today with her dad. After witnessing what he does all day she got really upset about having to enter the real world and earn her own living. She screamed, "What? No naps? No bedtime stories? No free lunch?" We told her she still has some time to enjoy mooching off of her parents.

Piano Lesson

Grandpa Jim gave Lucia her first piano lesson today--Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. We're sure that once Lucia discovers that hands and fingers can be used for more than just sucking on, she will be able to join her grandpa in "Heart and Soul". Until then she'll just listen.

A Little Friend Visits!

Lucia had her friend, Sophia Luz, over for a visit. They really didn't have too much to say to one another...pretty sure they didn't even notice each other. But moms Sara and Catherine feel that they'll be best pals in no time and will soon use those legs for going out salsa dancing.

Art Review

Lucia visited Auntie Christine's art studio today to see her new artwork. Auntie Christine had some cool light boxes that Lucia was intrigued by.

This one was her favorite.

While at the studio Lucia saw some other art that looked mighty comfy. It earned rave reviews!

Whee!

Getting Stronger!

Lucia went to the doctor yesterday for a little fix on her belly button. It still needed help healing so it was cauterized. In the meantime the doctor weighed her. She now weighs 11 lbs, 7 oz. She has gained about a half pound a week! Her weight places her in the 92nd percentile. Yikes! What a hearty eater.

To add to her healthy lifestyle, Lucia has been committed to her daily workouts at the local gym. See her progression over the past month! Lucia says, "I love tummy time!"
